Vestiaire Collective and beautiful khaki parka coat

When I sold last year my beloved burgundy parka coat from Ted Baker I could not find a substitute this year. I have few elegant wool coats in vibrant colours from the above brand also some faux fur coats from Juicy Couture and sheep skin men style jacket from Australia Luxe and black long coat from Isabel Marant but I was still looking for specific parka coat this year with fur around the hood. Warm hood is always very handy when dropping my son to school or hang around. Also cosy padded and quilted jacket was really in need. I have searched Barbour but missed one particular nice and finally As I am a big fan of parisian chic from Isabel Marant I have found site called Vestiaire Collective and nice Felton parka coat with raccon fur around the hood. Simply but extremely classy and high quality piece of clothing. Exactly what i was looking for. I choose khaki green colour with beige soft but subtle thin fur around.

Light but very warm quilted duvet type coat and made from cotton to be extremely breathable and durable.
I had a very good experience with the french shop which specialise in second hand, preowned luxury  designer items. I did not want to spend a fortune on the coat but in same time I did not want Chinese fur parka from ebay. I am so glad that I found this model from past collection of Isabel Marant. Is just what I wanted. I do not bother that is old model I do not need everything what is just launched as not everything what is new, current collection could be nice . I try to always searched to find what i really like and what is special for me and deserve my attention, does not matter if is from the past. I  usually always go for classic models of clothes which are never going out of fashion and always mostly on trend . Even if I am experimenting and try to be bit extravagant always is still in moderation. I do not see a sense to buy because is just in the shops if based on my opinion is ugly. Is good to follow current trends but in same time is good to have personal good taste and fashion instinct. I like to collect clothes from different seasons and different manufactory to have my custom made  fashion paradise which I love to the bits
The shop Vestiaire Collective is providing excellent service. The coat came in a box and in sealed shop plastic bag with few labels attached. I was surprised I was not aware that this jacket will be in new condition. It was mentioned perfect and immaculate but in real de facto was with original Isabel Marant label attached. I am very happy with the seller and the french company which have checked the coat in quality control department before shipped to me. The only one small negative point was the fact that all process took bit long as at first the item was sent by the seller to this shop and later after checking if accurate description and genuine was sent to me by international delivery as I am based in the UK. Probably customers from France will receive more quick but it was worth to wait for such lovely garment. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who looking for specific product from luxury range.

Valentines evening with Ray Lewis from Drifters

On the Valentine evening I had a pleasure to visit Denham Golf Club to join Ray Lewis and his team on their performance. It was a great evening with delicious 3-course meal and good music and dance. I was impressed by the interior there and enjoyed every minute of the show. The main ball room was decorated with heart balloons and red roses around.
For that special evening I choose beautiful burgundy lace dress from my favourite Ted Baker accompaniment by Lulu Guinness Lip frame red bag and black patent Miu Miu wedges.

On the Ball it was also exhibition from the Japanese Doll festival
Hinamatsuri (雛祭り Hina-matsuri), also called Doll's Day or Girls' Day, is a special day in Japan. Hinamatsuri is celebrated each year on March 3. Platforms covered with a red carpet are used to display a set of ornamental dolls (雛人形 hina-ningyō) representing the Emperor, Empress, attendants, and musicians in traditional court dress of the Heian period.
Families generally start to display the dolls in February and take them down immediately after the festival. Superstition says that leaving the dolls past March 4 will result in a late marriage for the daughter. The custom of displaying dolls began during the Heian period. Formerly, people believed the dolls possessed the power to contain bad spirits.
Hinamatsuri traces its origins to an ancient Japanese custom called hina-nagashi (雛流し?, lit. "doll floating"), in which straw hina dolls are set afloat on a boat and sent down a river to the sea, supposedly taking troubles or bad spirits with them. The Shimogamo Shrine (part of the Kamo Shrine complex in Kyoto) celebrates the Nagashibina by floating these dolls between the Takano and Kamo Rivers to pray for the safety of children. People have stopped doing this now because of fishermen catching the dolls in their nets. They now send them out to sea, and when the spectators are gone they take the boats out of the water and bring them back to the temple and burn them.

The Drifters are a long-lasting American doo-wop and R&B/soul vocal group. They were originally formed to serve as a backing group for Clyde McPhatter (of Billy Ward & the Dominoes) in 1953.
Ray Lewis former lead singer of The Drifters which joined the team from 1980-1988.
Afterwards he started his solo carrier.
Ray found he simply had the passion to sing whenever and wherever he found himself.
He settled in the UK – enjoyed taking time to start slowly with his solo career.
Alongside his solo shows – touring extensively around the world …. He then formed a group called ‘STILL DRIFTING featuring RAY LEWIS’ in which he performs with 3 other talented vocalists and pays tribute to the hits he enjoyed with the Treadwell’s Drifters. The group pay homage to those still with us and those whom have passed away.
Ray enjoys world-wide fame thanks to his own unique voice and professional and charismatic aura.
Besides his role in the group, he is still concentrating on a solo career and has performed to sell out theatres and audiences in venues around the world, having been associated with great names like Carole King, Whitney Houston, Lionel Ritchie, Paul McCartney and Diana Ross. Without doubt, he is one of the world’s greatest entertainers and enjoys a large following.
2009 saw Ray finally step out and make the decision to record a solo album – it has taken 4 years, there have been tears and laughter, joy and some misery but after much work ‘DID YOU EVER’ was released on March 4th 2013 – a new era for Ray has followed with rave reviews following a huge round of press & media publicising the album.
This energetic and vibrant vocalist is second to none …he is now embracing a new generation and just as excited now as when he began all those years ago.
